I am a registered nurse with 35 years experience in the NHS and the Private Sector, fully qualified in Ear Irrigation/syringing. I have had a varied career and qualified in 1986 from Homerton College Cambridge and have worked in hospitals, Ear, Nose and Throat clinics and various wards and departments.
I worked for 12 years in a GP practice as the Lead Practitioner and qualified as an Independent Nurse Prescriber in 2004. I used these skills in the minor illness clinic and developed my interest in Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease and Rheumatology.
Many people will know my face - I was born and bred in Stamford and worked at Stamford and Peterborough hospitals for several years.
Following the Covid Pandemic I set up Stamford Ear Syringing as unfortunately, ear irrigation is no longer a core service offered by GPs but ear wax still remains a problem for many people.
In my spare time I love cooking, reading and walking. I also love spending my time with my family and traveling.
I am at the Broad Street Practice on Thursday afternoons and regular Saturday mornings. If you require further information do not hesitate to call the practice for an appointment on 01780 480889, or you can contact me on 07711298880
I am registered with the National Midwifery Council (NMC) and have an enhanced DBS certificate.
