All missed appointments and those late-cancelled with less than one full working day’s notice will be charged an amount no less than the sums outlined below. The charge imposed may be up to the full appointment fee - according to the policy of individual practitioners/disciplines (see the 'Fees' section of this website).
STANDARD CHARGES IMPOSED FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS & LATE CANCELLATIONS
- Missed appointments (failure to attend – not cancelled) – £20
- Short notice cancellation – £10 – which will be waived if we are able to fill the slot
- Please note - these charges are under review and are likely to change in late 2023
We reserve the right to charge up to the full appointment fee in some situations or to require payment up front at the time of booking.
Any decision to waive a charge for missed appointments or short notice cancellations is at the discretion of the attending practitioner and practice management. Please respect that our reception staff are not authorised to waive these fees.
We appreciate that sometimes events develop which make it impossible for our patients to attend booked appointments. If you find yourself in this situation, please make every effort to contact us – even if it’s only 10 or 15 minutes before your appointment – as we often have patients in need, waiting for our call.
