Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is an evidence based therapy which integrates hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness. Meditation and applied philosophy are woven through this highly tailored treatment programme. Through talking therapy we identify unhelpful thoughts, feelings, actions and beliefs then create goals collaboratively to address them and use hypnosis to embed new positive cognitions. This therapy will change the way you think and behave.
I use a variety of tools to achieve rapid and enduring change in clients, which include not only CBT and Hypnosis but meditation, mindfulness and breathing techniques. CBT is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems. Conditions I treat include Low Confidence and Self–Esteem, Stress regarding Exams or School, Low Mood, Menopause, Social Anxiety, Performance Anxiety, Habits and Phobias. I also have advanced specialism in Smoking and Vaping Cessation.
Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis. I aim to instigate change from our first session but on average it can take between 4 – 6 sessions, depending on the issue.
