With my husband Perry Westbrook, I am a co-director of The Broad Street Practice, which we started from scratch in 1996.
I graduated with a 2:1 Bachelor of Science degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the British College of Naturopathy & Osteopathy in 1995. I pride myself in my role as a primary healthcare practitioner and relish the diversity of patients who come through the door – all ages, backgrounds, professions, body shapes and states of health! I particularly enjoy treating pregnant women and mothers of young children and with my secretarial background I have particular empathy - and sympathy! - for those whose working hours keep them stuck at a desk and in front of a computer screen.
I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to teach patients – introducing them to the anatomy, physiology and mechanics underlying their problem and am a great believer that if people understand what has happened to them and why, then we’re half way to resolving the problem or helping to gain control over a long-standing condition.
Ongoing training is a central part of maintaining our skills and I enjoy attending training courses, seminars and workshops.
