John qualified as an osteopath in 2009 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University. John also holds a Master’s degree in Obesity, a Master’s degree in Sport Development and a teaching qualification in Physical Education and Science.
John has completed accredited upper and lower limb injection therapy training at the University of Nottingham, qualifying him to perform injections to both the upper and lower limbs. In addition, he has undertaken extensive training in ultrasound-guided injection techniques through SMUG (Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group).
More recently, John has qualified with a Master of Physician Associate Studies (MPAS), which includes formal training and competence in intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
John is currently in his third year of a PhD in Public Health at the University of Essex, where his research focuses on obesity and how healthcare practitioners manage patients living with obesity.
Outside of clinical practice, John has a strong interest in endurance sport. He has completed Ironman France and Ironman Spain, as well as ultramarathon events in Alaska and Jordan, and is currently training for the Outlaw Triathlon. He values spending time with his wife and daughter.
